Client Experience Manager | P/T remote contractor, hourly pay

Remote role, though being close to Wilmington, NC, is a bonus for the occasional coffee or work retreat

City & Sea Creative is a premium brand and website design studio based in Wilmington, N.C., helping established service-based businesses refine their brand identity and elevate their online presence. We specialize in strategy-backed branding, custom Squarespace & ShowIt websites, and creative direction, working primarily with female founders and high-end service providers. Our approach blends thoughtful strategy with refined design, delivering an intentional, streamlined, and premium client experience.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Project & Client Experience Manager to serve as the backbone of our client experience and project flow. This role combines project management, client communication, and light operations — ensuring that every client feels taken care of from first inquiry to project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage project timelines in ClickUp, ensuring projects are kept on schedule

  • Schedule and confirm client calls, follow-up with leads, onboard new clients & send client gifts

  • Ensure contracts, invoices, client homework and client feedback are completed on time

  • Review deliverables for accuracy, quality, and errors before sending to clients

  • Deliver creative assets to clients via HoneyBook and follow up on revisions/approvals

  • Collect client feedback in Filestage.io/email and assign it to designer in Clickup

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients and teammates throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with tools like ClickUp, HoneyBook, Slack, and Google Workspace

  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems and processes

  • Self-starter who takes ownership and thrives in a small, growing team environment.

  • Leadership skills: our team is growing you’ll be responsible for leading clients & team members through a complex process with lots of moving parts

  • Over-communicator: Keep clients and team in the loop at all times, not afraid to follow-up, ensure our clients have an incredible, white-glove and supportive experience.

schedule and compensation

  • Contract position, with hourly pay

  • Requires ~5-10 hours per week with opportunity for more in near future

  • Must be available for one 30-minute morning meeting per week with Creative Director/owner

  • Must be readily available during business hours to respond to clients and team members
